STOP! If you had to identify right now what the most important thing in your life is what would it be? Take a minute right now before reading on and think of how you would answer this question.

Now ask yourself is this what should be the main thing in my life?

After asking yourself these questions the next logical question would be, "what should the most important and main thing be should in my life?

This thought is what Paul is describing in 1 Corinthians 15:1-3. He is reminding us of the Gospel (the cross of Christ) which all believers once received. Not only did we once receive this great gift but now it is the only place for us to be sure footed in our faith.

When you build a structure you do not start with the roof, no that is foolish. You start with the foundation, the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the only place on which standing firm through the current of life is possible.

So how are you going to stand firmly focused on the cross today and everyday which God chooses for you to live?
If I wake up every morning and set my focus on the cross of Christ it makes the rest of the decisions to be made during the day that much clearer.

Do I read my bible or play call of duty? Do I spend quality time with my family after a long day at work or do I take a nap in my lazy boy.

When your life is focused on the cross of Christ your desires quickly align with the will of Christ.

There is much more to be discovered about making the cross of Christ of First Importance in your life and how you live that out. For now I challenge you to check your focus and to do whatever it takes to make the gospel of Jesus Christ your life's daily passion
