RJ has been part of camp for many years as a camper, summer staff, and year-round staff. He was first hired as the creative ministry director in 2015 before being called to youth ministry in Chicago, IL and Omaha, NE. From 2018 to 2021, he served as the director of ministries before taking over as executive director. He is excited to lead the place that has meant so much to his faith journey and to continue building that place for others. He and his wife, Ashley, got married in January 2021.

From 2010 to 2021, Josh served delicious meals as the food service director. He is grateful that the Lord called him to camp for that purpose and is humbled to now serve camp as the associate director. His goal will continue to be making sure everyone enjoys their stay at camp. He and his wife, Blair, were married in April 2015. They were blessed with a daughter, Mabel, in 2019 and welcomed twins, Otto and Francine, in February 2022.

Jake has a true enthusiasm for camp and working with youth. As a former camper, his love for camp has been with him from an early age. He enjoyed many years on summer staff here at Covenant Cedars Bible Camp while also attending Nebraska Christian College, where he met his wife of now three years, Lexi. Jake is excited to return to camp as our program director, and he looks forward to what God has in store!

Nathan grew up on a farm west of Hastings. He has been involved with many Bible camps around Nebraska including nearly 10 years of various camp ministries at Covenant Cedars. He spent the last 11 years working in Denver and feels blessed to be back in Nebraska and to be a part of what God is doing here at Covenant Cedars Bible Camp.

Ashley grew up just down the road from camp, having been raised in Central City, NE. She attended Grace Bible College in Omaha, NE, and grew to love hospitality and management in her family-owned store, Barista's Coffeehouse, in Grand Island, NE. Now, she looks forward to serving guests and providing a quality experience to encounter Christ.

Amy grew up in Lincoln, NE and spent many summers as a camper and on summer staff. For the past five years, Amy has been living in St Paul, MN where she graduated from Bethel University and worked as a registered nurse. She is looking forward to using this experience to manage healthcare policies and procedures for campers and guests. She is also stoked to connect with our existing churches as well as share her passion for camp with churches in the community.

M A I N T E N A N C E   D I R E C T O R

Matt was a volunteer for various ministries here at Covenant Cedars. He grew up in Red Cloud, NE and has worked as a construction contractor since 2009. He is grateful for the opportunity to bring that experience to serve the Lord and work for long term growth and improvement of facilities and processes at CCBC. Matt married his wife, Summer, in 2012, and they welcomed their daughter, Larkin, in 2020.

Ella grew up coming to camp – she spent six summers as a camper, four summers as a volunteer counselor, and three years on summer staff. She is from Colorado Springs, CO, but grew up in Covenant churches in Kansas for most of her life. Ella has a deep passion for camp and is excited to be a part of what God is doing through her internship.
